Holiday Return Policy:
All full-priced items purchased between November 1st and December 24th are eligible for a refund, exchange or online credit until January 15th. Due to COVID-19, no store returns will be accepted during this period. Please note: No refunds or exchanges will be accepted on Black Friday, December 26th and December 27th.
Items purchased on our website cannot be returned to Bookcases Armchairs stores or boutiques for a refund or exchange.
Online Purchases:
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied in any way, please return or exchange the item in its original condition within 30 days of the date of purchase. Final Sale: All clearance or discounted items are final sale and no returns or exchanges will be accepted.
Items eligible for return or exchange must be:
New, unused and in good condition; shoes must be unworn and in good condition. - Please make sure to try your new shoes on a clean, soft interior surface.
Returns and exchanges must include all original tags, packaging and accessories. Shoes must come with the original box and all protective packaging materials.
Proof of purchase (order confirmation email or number)
* Please note: if you purchased from a retailer other than Bookcases Armchairs or a third-party website, warranty enquiries must be made directly with the retailer.
Refunds
The refund for your returned item will be credited to your account using the same payment method used to purchase the item; the refund amount will appear on your next bill. You will receive a confirmation email once the return process is complete.
All returns/exchanges for online orders must be made within 30 days of receipt of the order.
Exchanges
Let's say you just want to exchange the item. In this case, we recommend that customers place a new order and return the original order, as we cannot guarantee that the item will be available when we receive the exchange item.
To return or exchange an item, please follow the instructions below:
1. You must first contact us with your order number and reason for return/exchange: Support@bookcasesarmchairs.com
2. We will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RA) and the nearest warehouse address where you can return the item. Please package and seal your return item securely and clearly indicate your RA number on the package when you send it back to us. This will allow us to track your return in the original packaging (if possible) or in another available packaging.
3. Return costs are the responsibility of the customer. We do not provide prepaid return labels. Please be sure to include a tracking number, receipt, and/or insurance when sending your package. Bookcases Armchairs is not responsible for any lost returns.
Return and Exchange Restrictions:
Items purchased at the original Bookcases Armchairs store cannot be returned to an Outlet store.
Items purchased at an Outlet store cannot be returned to the original Bookcases Armchairs store.
Sizing issues are not considered product defects and return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
We do not accept returns or exchanges for items purchased from other retailers or websites.
Items purchased on our website cannot be returned for a refund at a Bookcases Armchairs store or outlet. If you simply wish to exchange an item, please contact the Returns Department (see step 1 above for details) for more information.
We offer a one-time price adjustment within 24 hours of the purchase date for full-priced items purchased on the Bookcases Armchairs website.
Gift Cards
Gift Cards issued by bookcasesarmchairs.com are redeemable for merchandise on the Bookcases Armchairs website only. They are not redeemable for cash (unless otherwise required by law) and are valid only in-store at mattandnat.com. Gift Cards and merchandise credits are not returnable, will not be replaced if lost or stolen, and are not redeemable for cash (unless otherwise required by law). The card issuer is not responsible for loss, theft, or unauthorized use. Gift Card purchases are subject to the exchange and return policies of the point of sale. Use of a Gift Card constitutes acceptance of these terms and conditions, which may be amended at any time without notice.
Please note that Gift Cards do not include shipping costs for orders under $100 USD/CAD, $100 GBP, $100 EUR or $200 USD (International and Australian orders). All shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
Returning or exchanging gifts
Gifts may be returned or exchanged with the original online order number or receipt. Exchanges are limited to items of equal or lesser value. Returned items will be refunded to the purchaser's account using the original payment method. When purchasing a gift, your order confirmation number will be required. Please keep a copy or give it to the recipient.
In-store purchases
We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied with a full-priced item in any way, you may exchange it or receive a store credit within 30 days of the original purchase date. Please note that we do not offer refunds. All sale items are final (no exchanges or store credits).
Items eligible for exchange or refund must be:
New, unused and in perfect condition.
Includes all original hang tags, packaging and components.
Accompanied by original receipt or gift receipt (credit card statement not valid).
Final Sale: All clearance or discounted items are Final Sale and are not returnable or exchangeable.
Return and Exchange Restrictions:
Items purchased at the original Bookcases Armchairs store cannot be returned to the Outlet store.
Items purchased at the Outlet store cannot be returned to the original Bookcases Armchairs store.
Items purchased in-store cannot be returned or exchanged at bookcasesarmchairs.com.

Warranty
Handbags and Wallets
Handbags and wallets have a one-year limited warranty from the original date of purchase, subject to applicable conditions and exclusions.
Assuming the item proves to be defective in material or workmanship in ordinary use at any time during the first year.
In this case, we will replace the item with the same or similar product free of charge.
Defective handbags and wallets must be returned for replacement.
Footwear and outerwear
Subject to the terms and exclusions below, footwear and outerwear are warranted against defects in material and/or workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of original purchase. The original receipt or other valid proof of purchase is required.
Conditions and Exclusions
The warranty offered by Bookcases Armchairs is non-transferable and does not cover damage caused by dye transfer, accident, misuse or any alteration, service or repair.
A replacement will be sent only after we have received your damaged item;
Only one warranty replacement is allowed for the same item.
Warranty claims are not eligible for a refund.
Sunglasses
All sunglasses are warrantied for 60 days from the date of purchase against any material or manufacturing defects.
A manufacturing defect is a flaw or imperfection arising from the manufacturing process.
Accidental damage from normal wear and tear, handling or improper use is not covered under warranty.
Cosmetic issues such as scratches or marks are not covered under warranty unless they appear directly from the box and are reported within seven days of delivery; after seven days, they will be classified as worn and will not be eligible for any return or warranty claim.
Bracelets
We provide a 60-day warranty on all bracelets from the date of purchase against any material or manufacturing defects.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by improper use after purchase.
How to make a claim?
Online purchases
If you believe that the item you purchased has a manufacturing defect, please follow the instructions below:

To verify warranty eligibility, please include the following information in your email:
A copy of your order confirmation/order number;
Attach 2-3 pictures and describe the condition of the damaged item.
Full name, current shipping address and phone number.
We will provide you with a Return Authorization Number (RA). Please package and seal your return securely and always clearly indicate your RA number on the package when you send it back to us. This will allow us to track your return in the original packaging (if possible) or other available packaging.
North America & International Orders: We will email you an electronic shipping label. Once you receive the label, please drop off the package at the nearest UPS store in your area. Please note that the shipping label is valid for 30 days; if it is not used, the package will be returned at your own expense.
Europe & UK Orders: Our warehouse will contact you to arrange to collect your defective item via DPD or TRAKPAK.
*Package your return item; we do not require customers to purchase new accessories (such as new delivery boxes or shipping accessories) from the shipping company to send the item back, as we do not cover the shipping packaging costs. Please try to reuse the original shipping materials or other accessories you have available.
In-store Purchases
If you believe that the handbag/shoes you purchased have a manufacturing defect, please return it to the point of purchase with the original receipt. Warranty eligibility will be determined by the in-store management. Online warranty claims are not accepted for in-store purchases.
